Enough sitting! Come, we'll give you a good airing. By encountering real works of art in the city, we encourage the development of sensory and visual sensitivity, as well as the formation of positive civic attitudes.
Come out with us, soak up the city, its movements, smells, colours and shapes… Along the way, we will find out where the Lovers are or who the Hairy Man is, we will notice how the public space around us is changing, how it affects us and what it contains. The contact points on the map will be selected sculptures in the city centre—we will look at them from all sides and angles, examine them and together deduce their wider context. During the joint “walking” we will engage all our senses to retrieve the identity of the place. A keen eye, possibly a camera on your mobile phone, a head full of questions and curious hands will be an advantage. We will focus on understanding the historical and cultural contexts and looking at the role art plays in them.
The programme will take place outdoors in the centre of Ostrava.
