Presentation of the cinema, and infopoint opened as part of the fifth Temporary Structures, with a presentation of the artists.

The support facilities built by artists directly for the PLATO gallery have been expanded by a cinema designed by the Polish artist Zuza Golińska and visitors’ facilities by the French artist Stéphanie Lagarde. The artists will present and talk about their interventions within Temporary Structures.

Zuza Golińska (*1990, Gdańsk, PL) graduated from the Studio of Spatial Activities of Mirosław Bałka at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She creates installations and site-specific projects that often explore the concepts of social structures and the public space. She has presented her works, for example, in the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, the Zachęta National Gallery in Warsaw, the Delfina Foundation in London and in the National Gallery in Prague. In 2015-2018 she worked as assistant in the Studio of Spatial Activities led by Mirosław Bałka. She is the winner of ArtePrize awarded by the ArteVue foundation, and in 2018 was a resident of the Delfina Foundation, London. She lives and works in Warsaw.

Stéphanie Lagarde (*1982, Toulouse, FR) graduated from École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and completed a postgraduate residence at the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht. In her work she continuously explores the subject of the preservation of cultural heritage in the wide range of its aspects, from conservation to data manipulation. She creates compact installations involving sophisticated choreography of multi-channel videos and sculpture elements. She has taken part in a number of collective exhibitions including Transmediale in Berlin, DokFest in Kassel and The State Is Not a Work of Art in Tallin. She lives and works in Paris.
