The Jindřich Chalupecký Society and PLATO Ostrava cordially invite you to a live programme accompanying The Jindřich Chalupecký Award 2023 and the exhibition of the international guest artist Jonas Staal: Propaganda Station.
Schedule of the day:
13:30 – 16:30 School of Propaganda
In the middle of the Propaganda Station, Jonas Staal's installation as an international guest of this year's Jindřich Chalupecký Award, is the Propaganda School. This platform hosts meetings with experts, activists and organizers during the exhibition in order to collectively analyze the tools and forms of contemporary propaganda while experimenting and educating ourselves in the methods of (anti)propaganda.
13:30 – 17:00 Workshop for children (parallel with the programme of School of Propaganda)
An art table will be set up for visiting children, where they can work with materials used in the works of CJCH award recipients. The lecturer Jana Adamec Tkáčová will be available at the table for the children. The table will be a safe space, but parents are still responsible for the children.

17:30 – 18:00 Acknowledgements to the winners of the Jindřich Chalupecký Prize 2023 with the jury's statement
The Jindřich Chalupecký Award is awarded for exceptional artistic creation in the field of visual arts. It is intended for the emerging generation of artists whose work has the potential to stand out in the context of the Czech and international art scene in the long term and embodies an exceptional attitude in terms of content and form.
