Workshop:
Workshop with curator Katarína Klusová and garden architect Rudolf Klus who will introduce you, both in theory and practice, to the phenomenon of communal gardens.
We will discuss the establishing of communal gardens in cities, often initiated by their inhabitants. The theoretical part will be followed by a practical one: the participants will learn, for example, how to create elevated flower beds.
Katarína Klusová is a curator of the Třinec City Gallery. She graduated from the Faculty of Arts of the VUT and Masaryk University in Brno. Her father Rudolf Klus works as a garden architect all over the Czech Republic, as well as in Poland and Slovakia. He is a keen promoter of green roofs, vertical gardens and facades overgrown with climbing vegetation in cities.
The workshop is connected with one of the exhibitions from the Temporary Structures 2 series (garden).
